Amidst a network of rivers, lakes, beaches and the stunning rocky headlands of the east coast of Australia, lies the idyllic town of Port Macquarie which will be hosting the Feast of Tabernacles again in 2020.

The splendour of God’s creation is evident in whichever direction you look, making this exquisite destination the perfect place for brethren to celebrate God’s soon coming Kingdom.

Port Macquarie claims magnificent beaches, pristine waterways, beautiful nature reserves and an interesting history; it is a coastal resort town that has an abundance of things to do for everyone.

There are a plethora of things to do and places to see for all ages and all tastes. Brethren will enjoy a variety of aquatic activities including: water-skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing, scuba diving, swimming, fishing, boating, cruising and surfing! Port Macquarie is also well known for whale and dolphin watching. The gentle giants of the sea migrate along the coast from May through to November each year and dolphins are sited in the surrounding rivers all year round.

Away from the water there are many other exciting attractions for families and brethren to enjoy together. Horse riding trials provide an opportunity to travel through Australia’s spectacular bushland and see a wonderful variety of flora and fauna. At ‘Timbertown’ people can step back in time to experience a living breathing depiction of a 1976 saw miller’s village.  Alternatively, tickle your tastebuds with tomato and strawberry picking at a local tourist farm! Feast goers will not be able to miss the Koala Hospital which offers a rare insight into habits of one of the world’s most endearing creatures.   Other activities include bowling, mini golf and go-karting as well as there being a number of galleries and wineries scattered throughout Port Macquarie’s hinterland.

The brethren will definitely enjoy the physical eating and drinking at the feast with a wide variety of quaint cafes, and restaurants that offer a smorgasbord of foods from all over the world, in both casual and formal dining settings all in walking distance from their booths.

Sitting on the fringe of the town centre, surrounded by sparkling waters and lush green parks is the The Westport Club – the venue for this year’s Feast of Tabernacles. This magnificent venue is situated along the pristine waters of the Hastings River, the perfect backdrop for what will be a truly memorable Feast.
