St. Augustine, FL

COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines (Check with your Coordinator for any other requirements specific to this site)

Making its grand festival debut with quaint old-world charm and unique millennial scenery, Saint Augustine, Florida, is the place to be in 2020 to celebrate the coming Kingdom of God! Billed as the nation’s oldest continuously inhabited settlement, this city has over 450 years of history, art, and culture to explore. St. Augustine was first claimed for Spain by the infamous Ponce De Leon in 1513 while searching for the fabled fountain of youth. The next few decades would see failed attempts to establish a colonial presence by both France and Spain until Spanish explorers reasserted their claim over Florida in 1565.

St. Augustine and the surrounding area has 42 miles of top-rated shorelines, just a few minutes from the site. Feast-goers can explore the old city by tram, see the lighthouse, visit fascinating museums, experience historical reenactments, or ride in a horse drawn carriage, all while building Feast memories. They can also shop in the city’s many boutiques and outlets and dine on a wide array of multiethnic cuisines at so many excellent restaurants and cafes. And then there is Golf -- St. Augustine is a golfer’s wonderland. Adjacent to the site, golf enthusiasts can tour the World Golf Hall of Fame, the PGA Tour Golf Academy and play on world renowned courses. There are so many activities to experience for the whole family!

Daily services and various activities will be held at the beautiful 4-star World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort. The site is conveniently located close to I-95, near the historic district and a short walk to the IMAX Theater. Onsite accommodations consist of standard rooms and a few 1-bedroom suites. Each reservation will include a full breakfast buffet for up to two in each room.

For a most stress-free feast, it is highly recommend to stay on site at the resort to avoid the everyday hassle of parking and daily transportation. However, if the resort accommodations are not suited for a person's situation, Saint Augustine and vicinity offers many other housing options to fit almost any budget. See the Accommodation tab for information and pricing and other housing options.

The site is working with the resort to insure local and state guidelines associated with the Covid-19 crisis are complied with. By Feast-time, guidelines will likely include but not limited to indoor facial coverings and the 6-foot seating distance requirement between non-household members.  Additionally, extra attention should be applied to the long-standing practice of not attending services if ill or exhibiting symptoms of any contagion until fully recovered. The site plans on providing a livestream and/or telephone link for those that need to stay away from services or become ill during the Feast.  See COVID-19 Health & Safety Announcement.
